| Organization Description | Inner Explorer was founded as a non-profit organization in 2011 with the mission to unlock human potential and foster lifelong wellbeing for millions of children, families, and communities through mindfulness-based social-emotional learning. It's the only audio-guided mindfulness program in education that is formatted on the world-renowned Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) protocol, and leads the way in delivering evidence-based daily mindfulness practice in schools and homes - currently reaching more than 1,000,000 students and 38,000 teachers nationwide (PreK-Grade 12). Four age-specific series’ of practices (5-10 minutes) can be streamed into classrooms and homes in English or Spanish. Educators log-in and press “play” to listen to the daily practices along with students. Families can opt-in, from home or work, to enjoy a shared experience with their kids. In 2019, the independent experts from Brain Futures assessed evidence-based interventions that boost student "Brain Fitness" and academic outcomes, selecting Inner Explorer as one of the TOP 10 programs that improve Executive Functioning, which is a stronger predictor of school success than any other factor including IQ! |
